| Description | As a 501 (c) 3 public charity the primary mission of the YoungBiz Foundation is to provide real world, hands-on, financial, entrepreneurial, and business education programs to youth ages 8-22. The Foundation has been created in response to the need to provide this vital education to young people in our communities. All the Foundation's programs are sponsored by business institutions and other philanthropic entities and administered in partnership with local schools and youth serving agencies. The Foundation's education programs foster the economic well-being of youth participants from all social and economic backgrounds, without bias toward any racial, ethnic, gender, political, or religious groups or affiliations. The YoungBiz Foundation is part of YoungBiz International, Ltd., which was founded in 2005. YoungBiz International also operates programs in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, and a growing number of other countries and in the U.S. It is hoped that our efforts can be substantially enhanced through grants and the goodwill of business, institutions and individuals who recognize the crucial importance of effective financial literacy, business, and entrepreneurship education for this generation. YoungBiz financial and business training programs have been designed to teach youth these skills according to the criteria and national standards published by the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education in Columbus, OH and are aligned to the national standards in personal finance published by the Jump$tart coalition for Personal Financial Literacy in Washington, DC. |
